What is Strips Finance?
Strips Finance is the world's first decentralized interest rate derivatives trading platform. It aims to solve the problem of trading interest rates in decentralized finance by building the first natively decentralized interest rate derivatives exchange on Ethereum. Strips Finance will grow to be the premier marketplace for fixed income.
Interest rate swaps (IRS) are forward contracts where participants swap variable interest rates for fixed interest rates based on some notional amount. There are three main types of IRS:
- Fixed to Floating: fixed interest rate to variable interest rate
- Floating to Fixed: variable interest rate to fixed interest rate
- Floating to Floating: variable interest rate to variable interest rate
