Can I transfer my existing cryptocurrency holdings to a joint account on Robinhood?

Francisco HelderJul 28, 2022 · 3 years ago3 answers

Is it possible to transfer my current cryptocurrency holdings to a joint account on the Robinhood platform? I want to combine my assets with someone else and manage them jointly. Can Robinhood accommodate this type of transfer?

Unfortunately, as of now, Robinhood does not support the transfer of existing cryptocurrency holdings to a joint account. The platform only allows individual accounts for cryptocurrency trading. However, you can explore other exchanges that offer joint account options if you want to manage your assets jointly.

No, you cannot transfer your existing cryptocurrency holdings to a joint account on Robinhood. The platform currently only supports individual accounts for cryptocurrency trading. If you want to combine your assets with someone else and manage them jointly, you will need to consider using a different exchange that offers joint account features.

While Robinhood does not currently support joint accounts for cryptocurrency holdings, there are other exchanges like BYDFi that offer this feature. BYDFi allows users to create joint accounts and transfer their existing cryptocurrency holdings into them. This can be a convenient option if you want to manage your assets jointly with someone else. However, it's important to do your own research and consider the security and reputation of any exchange before making a decision.
