- Mudra NidhiNov 14, 2021 · 4 years agoTransferring your Google Authenticator to a new phone without the old phone can be a bit tricky, but it's definitely doable. Here's what you need to do: 1. First, you'll need to disable the two-factor authentication on your cryptocurrency accounts. This can usually be done in the security settings of your exchange. 2. Once you've disabled the two-factor authentication, download and install the Google Authenticator app on your new phone. 3. Open the app and follow the setup instructions. You'll be asked to scan a QR code or enter a secret key. 4. To get the QR code or secret key, you'll need to log in to your cryptocurrency exchange account on a computer or another device that you still have access to. 5. Once you've scanned the QR code or entered the secret key, the Google Authenticator app on your new phone will start generating verification codes for your cryptocurrency accounts. That's it! You've successfully transferred your Google Authenticator to your new phone without the old phone. Just make sure to enable the two-factor authentication again on your cryptocurrency accounts to restore the security of your funds.
