- Tobiasen HenningsenFeb 22, 2021 · 4 years agoOne of the best ways to block calls related to cryptocurrency scams is to use a call-blocking app or service. There are several apps available for both Android and iOS that allow you to block unwanted calls. These apps use a database of known scam numbers and automatically block them. Some apps even allow you to manually add numbers to the block list. By using a call-blocking app, you can significantly reduce the number of scam calls you receive.
- JrdnJul 09, 2024 · a year agoAnother effective method to block calls related to cryptocurrency scams is to register your phone number on the National Do Not Call Registry. This registry is maintained by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in the United States and allows you to opt out of receiving telemarketing calls. While this may not completely eliminate scam calls, it can help reduce their frequency.
- Breum MangumJun 06, 2022 · 3 years agoAt BYDFi, we take the issue of cryptocurrency scams seriously. We recommend that you never share your personal or financial information over the phone, especially with unknown callers. If you receive a call from someone claiming to be from BYDFi or any other exchange, it is likely a scam. Hang up immediately and report the call to the appropriate authorities. Remember, BYDFi will never ask for your sensitive information over the phone.
- JavaJuiceApr 12, 2021 · 4 years agoIn addition to using call-blocking apps and registering on the Do Not Call Registry, you can also manually block individual numbers on your phone. Most smartphones have a built-in feature that allows you to block specific numbers. Simply go to your phone's settings, find the call-blocking or call-rejection option, and add the numbers you want to block. This can be a useful method if you receive repeated calls from the same scam number.
- Umair UmairshakeelFeb 22, 2021 · 4 years agoIf you are receiving a high volume of scam calls, you may want to consider changing your phone number. While this may be an inconvenience, it can help reduce the number of scam calls you receive. Make sure to only share your new number with trusted contacts and be cautious when giving out your number online.
- Calvin NgJan 11, 2022 · 3 years agoRemember to always be vigilant and skeptical when receiving calls related to cryptocurrency. Scammers often use high-pressure tactics and try to create a sense of urgency to trick you into giving them your money or personal information. If something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Trust your instincts and never hesitate to hang up on suspicious calls.
