  Ethereum 2.0 introduces several improvements that will greatly enhance the transaction per second (TPS) rate. One of the main improvements is the implementation of a new consensus mechanism called Proof of Stake (PoS), which replaces the current Proof of Work (PoW) mechanism. PoS allows validators to create new blocks and secure the network by holding and staking their Ethereum tokens.
