Can you explain the meaning of sats in the crypto world? I've heard this term being used but I'm not sure what it refers to.

Sats, short for satoshis, are the smallest unit of Bitcoin. They are named after Satoshi Nakamoto, the pseudonymous creator of Bitcoin. One Bitcoin is equal to 100 million sats. Sats are used to measure and represent fractions of a Bitcoin. For example, if you have 0.001 BTC, you have 100,000 sats. Sats are commonly used when discussing microtransactions and the value of Bitcoin in smaller denominations.

Sats is just a slang term for satoshis, which are the smallest unit of Bitcoin. It's like saying 'bucks' instead of 'dollars'. So when someone talks about sats, they're referring to fractions of a Bitcoin. It's a way to make Bitcoin more relatable and easier to talk about in smaller amounts.

BYDFi, a popular cryptocurrency exchange, defines sats as the smallest unit of Bitcoin. It's a way to measure and trade fractions of a Bitcoin. Sats have gained popularity in the crypto world because they make it easier to discuss and transact with smaller amounts of Bitcoin. For example, if you want to buy a coffee with Bitcoin, you might say it costs 100,000 sats instead of 0.001 BTC.
