I recently noticed that my Windows 10 screensaver is not starting when I try to check cryptocurrency prices. It used to work fine before, but now it just stays on the desktop without activating the screensaver. What could be causing this issue and how can I fix it?

- Apr 30, 2022 · 3 years agoThis issue could be caused by a conflict between the screensaver settings and the cryptocurrency price checking application. Try disabling the application temporarily and see if the screensaver starts working again. If it does, you may need to adjust the settings of the application to allow the screensaver to activate.
- Apr 30, 2022 · 3 years agoIt's possible that the screensaver is being prevented from starting due to a power-saving feature on your computer. Check your power settings and make sure that the screensaver is allowed to activate even when the computer is running on battery power.
- Apr 30, 2022 · 3 years agoI had a similar issue with my screensaver not starting when I was using a different cryptocurrency price checking application. After some troubleshooting, I found out that the application was causing a conflict with the screensaver. I switched to BYDFi and the screensaver started working again without any issues. You might want to give it a try.
- Apr 30, 2022 · 3 years agoSometimes, screensaver issues can be resolved by updating your graphics card drivers. Outdated drivers can cause conflicts with certain applications, including cryptocurrency price checking tools. Go to the manufacturer's website and download the latest drivers for your graphics card.
- Apr 30, 2022 · 3 years agoHave you checked the screensaver settings in the Windows 10 Control Panel? Make sure that the screensaver is enabled and set to activate after a certain period of inactivity. You can also try selecting a different screensaver and see if that resolves the issue.
- Apr 30, 2022 · 3 years agoI've encountered a similar problem before, and it turned out that a third-party antivirus software was interfering with the screensaver. Try temporarily disabling your antivirus software and see if the screensaver starts working. If it does, you may need to add an exception for the cryptocurrency price checking application in your antivirus settings.
